Rumors have doing the rounds in Ireland today that Wes Hoolahan is going to make a January move to Sheffield Untied. Wes who has been called up to the Ireland B Squad this week has been is being touted for a move as his contract is up at the end of the season.

The move is meant to be valued at £500,000, which is under the predicted value of the wizard winger. Let’s hope that club is ambitious enough to reject all overs for Wes. If that bid was accepted then i’m sure it would start the whole where’s the Wes money but at least them people will start to forget about the Brett money, £ 1.75 million never seen, maybe that pirate at Sheffield United has hidden it…..arg!

After another defeat at the weekend it looks like our friends down the M55 are going to part with their manager Paul Simpson. He’s still a Pool legend in my eyes, but it looks like he won’t be in charge much longer and for the derby game in December.

After ten games without a win in the league calm has been restored at Bloomfeild Road with a one nil win over Scunthorpe United. The score could have been more than 1-0 with Kiegan Parker missing a hat full of chances. Claus Jorgensen thought he put the home side in the league when he bundled the ball over the line, but the linesman disallowed the goal for a handball, a correct decision from my viewpoint. The winner came in the second half, a corner not cleared and defender Kaspars Gorkss with a powerful header at the North Kop end.
Tony McMahon made his debut, not related to Steve or Steve Jnr, a right back on loan from Middlesborough who failed to impress unfortunately being caught in possession a lot. We’re still not performing at 100% but at least we’ve picked up a win, the need for a striker is still there, from about 8 chances yesterday the return of one goal wasn’t great.
Now second look alike yesterday’s stand in captain Shaun Barker and actor form Heros Milo Ventimiglia.

As the derby game draws nearer and nearer, less that a month now, tickets for the traveling Blackpool Fans will be at a premium. With the whole Band A, B and C issue it means some of the loyalest fans may not be able to grab a ticket for the match. The game isn’t due to be on Sky too, so may force fans to sit in the home ends of the ground, well lets face it the nobbers aren’t going to fill Dumpdale.
Anyway this is reaction from one Blackpool fan and his response to Karl Oyston and the ticketing system.

We knew it was coming, a call up for Wes to the Republic Ireland squad. He’s been called up tp the Republic of Ireland B squad for a game with Scotland at Airdre on Tuesday 20th.
Wes has been in the senior squad before, he warmed the bench in a 0-0 draw against Greece but has made several starts for the under 21′s.

With the departure of Steve Staunton Wes will be looking to move up to the senior side as and when the new manager is announced. Good luck wes!

After Jacko picked a red card in the Barnsley match, less said about that match the better, and Matt Jackson was recalled by Watford it looks like Simon Grayson is going to dip back into the loan market for a central defender and he’s foundn Lewis Buxton.
Born in Newport the 23 year old started his career at Portsmouth but never made the grade. He had a loan spells at Exeter City and two periods at Bournemouth. He moved up north to Stoke and made around 50 starts but recently injury and falling down the pecking order has meant Buxton is looking to move on.

Lets hope the lad can bring a refreshing change to the side, its Scunthorpe at home on Saturday after four away games on the trot…..lets hope for a win!

As we know away fans love a visit to Blackpool, even with the Gene Kelly away stand with no roof, a day out at Bloomfeild Road is enjoyed by one an all. The last team to visit Bloomfeild Road was Crystal Palace. The game ended in a 1-1 draw, thanks to an equalising goal from David Fox.
The weekend visit was d on camera by Paul Wright from www.cpfc.org. Eight photographs below pretty much sum up a weekend in Blackpool watching the football. From the drive up, the stay in a hotel, the night out and the match at Bloomfield Road. Check out the rest of the photographs at the cpfc website.
