Refing the Malaysian Way

Recently in the English league there have been a few incidents with two footed tackles, with Carvalho’s lunge being the pick of the lot. In Malaysian a referee took things into his own hands when players started mobbing he ran to his car to get a gun and started to fire warning shots. Now I should add that the man in black in mention was a policeman hence the gun in his car but he was still taken into custody for suspected misuse of firearms.

Maybe Iain Williamson will have to look into purchasing a firearm as some of his matches are bound to to end in him being mobbed.

It looks like Keigan Parker is set to leave in the New Year to go to Swansea. Parker’s career at Blackpool has had ups and downs, ups the goals and some great goals too and the downs the sulks, the sendings off, the Jade Goody incident. So how do we want to remember the young scot?

For this?

The boxing day clash ended Sheffield United 1 - 1 Blackpool but the game was a uphill struggle after Mr Attwood sent Ian Evatt off after 8 minutes for a tug on Billy ‘little shit’ Sharp.  At least Chubs pulled off a save from the penetly and we managed to grab a draw thanks to a goal from Claus fro free kick. Seems to sum us up that we never never give in even when the odds are stacked against us. No highlights yet on youtube just this video from the end of the match.

Watch out Millwall, our favorite referee Iain Williamson is back on the road and will be in charge of the Millwall V Brighton game this Saturday, for those who don’t remember have a look at the post about the plonker. Recently we’ve been have some good ref’s bar Mr P Joslin on Saturday, I wonder if we’ll ever be fortunate enough to have Mr W officiate a game at Bloomfield Road?

Fabio Capello has been announced as the new England manager, with a four and half contract he’s got an opt out option in 2010 and he’s being paid £6 million pounds a year! Thats one reason why English football is in the state it’s in when your paying a manager £ 6 million quid a year, at least this guy doesn’t take any shit from players, he once threw a punch at Palo Di Canio!
