Keigan Parker grabbed a starting place in the side last night for the Cardiff match but once again failed to impressive, he’s got the talent but at times lacks desire. Once again Parker was up to his old tricks of being offside. In total there were 9 offside last night for the home side 6* from Keigan Parker and 3 from Ben Burgess.

Get in, get in, get in we beat the scum 1-0. A cold and wet afternoon at Deepdale ended in joy has the final scored ended Preston 0 - 1 Blackpool, thanks to a Wes Hoolahan penetly in the second half.

A packed Blackpool end went mental in the second half when Ben Burgess was brought down in the box and Wes put the resulting penalty away with a cheeky chip down the middle. The win puts prescum into the bottom three and move ourselves up to 18th in the league. All is good tonight on the Fylde coast.

After almost 8 years since the last meeting between the sides the East Lancashire derby is back and it’s only a couple of days away. Early teams news is that ex-pool star Brett Ormerod will miss the match, Blackpool have no new injury worries, and hopefully Bartosz Slusarski will be fit, there is yet to be any team news on Keith Southern who missed the Scunthorpe match.
It’s hard to describe what a Preston V Blackpool match means, pride and the ability to stand up load an proud for the week. I’m fortunate to only know one Preston fan, but for those who work or go to uni / collage behing enemy line the win will that little bit sweeter. I’m sure the players will be up for it, it’s sure going to be tasty.

Macken :Give me you shirt marvin !
The old bill presence at the game is set to be high but with the 12:00 start should reduce the ammount of pints sunk before the match but there is sure to be the odd scuffle! The drums have been banned for both sides due to heath and safety of the drummers standing up. All that will do is make the Blackpool fans sing more. Can’t wait…….

After yesterdays post about the change to the AVFTT which has resulted in the AVFTT message board being a little quite the reaction has been the same on pretty much all the different team pages. This afternoon a quick check of the home page of the site which shows you the top thread from each message board summed up the mood on all the boards. New owners Sky have a lot to answer for.

You may have seen the credit card advert where some one does something smart, and in order for the balance to be resorted somebody has to do something stupid, like walk into a glass door. Well tonight somebody is going to have to do something very smart after AVFTT changed there website thus losing all it’s returning visitors.
The design on the home page isn’t too bad, the banner at the top with avftt is a bit naff and the navigation in CSS looks half finished.

The big problem is the message boards, which was the best part of AVFTT. Which is just…..well small, and crap. They’ve added a flagging system which maybe due all the issues the network has had in the past with the dodgy posts.

It’s odds on that they’ll change it back by the end of the week!

The draw for the Third round of the F.A. Cup was made this afternoon after the Harrogate R v Mansfield match. We drew Barnsley away, as draws go pretty crap tie, Chelsea were the next out of the hat! Burnley got the pick of the draws Arsenal at home, Manchester United drew Villa which seems to happen every year. Ties to be played in the New Year January 5/6th.

A win at last and a deserved one. Ben Burgess is the toast of the town, after his header in the 90th minute grabber a 1-0 win over a pretty poor QPR. Once again we were up against it with C W Oliver trying to compete with Iain Williamson in a worst referee of the season competition. And once again Paul Rachubka was targeted by the opposition with a nasty challenge but all can sleep happy tonight thanks to Big Ben. His header in the first minute of injury time looped into the corner past Lee Camp who had almost single handily kept the Pool at bay in the second half. Roll on Monday night for Scunthorpe.

Eye on the ball Ben
