 The Saints came matching in but they only took a point away, to be truthful it was an awful game of football, the first half was dire with it picking up in the second half goals from Keith Southern and Kaspars Gorkss. Once again the referee David Foster was rubbish giving Southampton a penalty and then deciding to forget about handball as Bradley Wright-Phillips decided to catch the ball multiple times.

Anyway Johnny Phillips from Sky Sports News crapped his pants when the second went in and the drum was smashed by drummer Hoggy for Glad All Over!

As a fan of Blackpool FC I’m proud of many players that have played for the club, Sir Stanley Matthews, Stan Mortensen, Alan Ball, Gary Briggs, Brett Ormerod, Keith Southern. For me one strands out more than any other, Sir Jimmy Armfield. A one man club, he’s still not received the recognition he requires with a new stand created in his name.

At the recent FourFourTwo awards he received n award for outstanding contribution to the Football League. The video clip below shows some highlights from the night at the Hilton in London

An article appeared in FourFourTwo about the west Lancashire derby Blackpool V Preston, the majority of the article is about the reason for the rivalry and the build up to the derby game back in December when we beat the Nobbers 1-0.

One of the great things about having a good mobile is you can blog from anywhere, at the moment I’m at Bloomfeild Road sat in my seat 30 mins from kick off.

The team news from tonight is we are keeping the same side that beat Norwich, so Dickov is still out .

At the moment it looks like a poor turn out from the home and away fans!

EDIT: Half time 1-1 Gary Taylor-Fletcher with the first goal from a header, Campbell-Rice with the equalizer. We should be winning!!!

EDIT: Full time and back home now, could have been all three points with us hitting the post early on in the second half.

Another great win with Steve McPhee grabbing his third and fourth goal of the season. Cureton scored from a pen whiched looked out of the box but we managed to hold on to take all three points.

Tomorrow we take on Barnsley and a win will mean out best run so far. Dickov is back from being ’sick’ he was really rested for Tuesday in mind and should start with McPhee, with 8 goals between the pair in the last 6 games there will be goals!
