After yesterday’s post that QPR have made a bid for Kaspars Gorkss there are rumors that QPR will make a bid for Wes Hoolahan for, wait for it……£375K. There was an article on EDP 24 a Norfork based website that QPR will make a bid for Wes but there may be a issues with the whole transfer of Hoolahan from from Livingston with Fifa yet to decide if we still need to pay a fee to Livingston of around £75K. So the £375K would be more than the release clause of £250K in Wes’s contract and the extra money would then possibly go to Livi.
What is evident that by next week we could lose our best two players to QPR for just over half a million quid. As we know from Brett Ormerod we won’t see any of this money, sorry to be D+G but it’s not looking good, but it’s not a signed deal…..until we see the pair in the blue and white of QPR they are still Blackpool players.

It looks like the lads are preparing well for the next season with Ian Evatt, Simon Wiles, Shaun Barker and David Fox out at the syndicate. I know that footballers are meant to have a reputation of splashing the cash in trendy night clubs but…..the Syndicate….bit of a sh1thole. Come on lads…

It’s full of teenage bints!

It looks like Kaspars Gorkss is going to be leaving for QPR after they officially placed a bid for the big Latvian. Apparently Gorkss has a £250k release clause in his contract. Considering QPR are bankrolled by a billionaire the fee isn’t going to be a problem, so if the clause is half a million etc they’ll pay. The only sticking point is will he want to move?
Gorkss may want to be loyal to Blackpool, we gave him his first chance in football in England and most importantly it’s pretty much down to Mr Belokon that he came. Would Gorkss want to annoy Belokon? It’s like a Russian player sticking the fingers to Abramovich.
Lets hope the big man stays!

New Pool signing Marlon Broomes has the look of ITV TV presenter Micheal Underwood.

You ever seen them in the same room?

Well its the first signing of the season….it can only get better. Former Blackburn Rovers and Nobber Marlon Broomes has joined on a 12 month contract with the standard view to another 12 months, so if he’s crap he’s not going to warm the bench for two years.

After hi stint down the road with Preston Marlon moved (he was part of a swap!) to Stoke City where he made 36 league starts since 2005. He snapped his achilles before the start of the 06/07 season which forced him out of the year. With Stoke going well in the season just past he didn’t get a match, so he’s a little rusty!

With the view to some new signing soon I’ve added a player profiles section to the site. At the moment only Paul Rachubka is on, I’ll be going through the squad which today stands at 19 adding them on one by one. It might be the case that it won’t be 19 with speculation today about Wes going to Nowich!
Each profile has a short bio, standard stats, latest articles about them, picture, chants and maybe in the future videos the player features in etc.
So head over to the Blackpool FC Players section of the BFCBlog!

Another strange picture from the web about Blackpool FC. It’s a picture of Danny Harrison, in a Blackpool shirt and hat. I think he’s not a real Pool fan as the caption advised ‘becomes a Blackpool FC fan for the day’ The photo is by Josh Vosper who’s an awesome collection of photo’s.

For the full picture at a slightly larger 686 x 1024 head over to the flikr page.
