Just watched Histon beat Leeds in round two in a great game and the draw is being done. We are ball number 6 and have drawn : Torquay United away. Which is a pretty crap draw.

Thats a bit better a win after four losses on the trot and all thanks to another loanee Liam Dickinson with two quick goals.

Kyel Reid (on loan from West Ham) played as well and supplied the cross for the second. It seems that we were heading for another defeat after former nobber Paul Gallagher put the home site in the league but Dickinson scored three minutes after coming on as a sub, well done to Simon Grayson for the subs. The second goal came three minutes after the first one. It was a mad six minutes which all fits on one screen shot from the BBC live text.

That’s the first time we’ve lost four games on the trot since the 2002-03 season. I wasn’t able to go tonight but from messages on the forums it’s seems some fans are getting on the backs of the players and Grayson which can’t help really when the players are obviously down and out.
If I had a bad day at work, made some mistakes and coded something wrong the last thing I’d want is someone ranting at me.
Joe Martin came in for Mo Camera tonight to start at left back, feedback was that he did well but it’s going to be essential to get Crainey back in the team and playing well. Poor Stephen McPhee came on as a sub and 5 minutes later he went off with an injury, not a good night at all.
Saturday we play Plymouth, I think the players will be grateful for an away game. Argyle have won 4 at home, drawn two and lost three, lets home for at least a point!

Not a good day again going down two nil to Wolves, no doubt that the better team won but at times we showed a real lack of passion.
The two plus points had to be Lee Hendrie and Alex Babtiste who started their first games in a pool shirt.
At right back Babtiste replaced Barker and should keep his place in the side. Hendrie replaced Jorgensen and did really well linking up play and getting forward.
Camara still looks suspect but a second half peformance should help him keep his place in the side. Gow and Kabba didn’t really work upfront and Burgess was poor for his cameo at the end.
Second goal was hand ball too…..

I’m sat at Molineux watching pool warm up including Nardiello who is back in the match squad.
It’s freezing, meatloaf is playing at it’s cost £28 to get in, better be a good game!

The new Football Manager 2009 was released in the past week, I’ve downloaded a demo version rather than buying it as I’m still hooked on Fifa 09 (won the Prem today with Blackpool in my second season). The squad list is pretty accurate, no Hendry of course by no Mo Camera.

I tried playing tonight as soon as I started a match it crashed my Mac, which doesn’t happen often. Reading over the website for the game it seems that there have been a few teething problems so it might be best to wait a couple of weeks until patches are released.

I’ve just about calmed down following our defeat today to the nobbers. I have to say I’m really disappointed in the performance, especially as it’s two weeks in a row when we’ve not come out to play. Preston didn’t look all that but were first to the ball in the middle and upfront, also they seem to have a couple of players who are able to finish.

Adam Hammill did well on the wing and took his goal well, pity he wasn’t able to add to it in the second half with the couple of chances he had. Preston in the end managed to press the right areas and managed to break down the right wing for all three goals. I think that a few clubs are targeting Shaun Barker and Gary Taylor-Fletcher down the right, I wounder how many goals we have conceded from the right side?

Anyway we have to pick ourselves up now for the Wolves game which isn’t going to be easy.

It’s the big one, Blackpool V Preston North End the one we’ve been waiting for. After last years win at Deepdale and a draw at home we quiet wrightly had the bragging rights for the season. The amazing fact was last year Preston were pre match favourites, as established Championship team compare to ourselves new boys in the division.

This time round the teams are even, Preston are only above us by goal differance in the league and Alan Ivine has his own team, no Agent Paul Simpson’s.
Once again the result is all important. I’m hoping that that it’s not going to be a bore draw like last season but if that means we avoid defeat I’ll take it!
