A good result last night in front of the Sky cameras to draw with top of the league Wolves on a bitterly cold evening. The new flag looked great on the north stand as the players came out, all the names of the contributers to the flag appeared in the match programme, well done to all!

I’ve watch the highlight of the match and can see why the penalty was given against Rob Edwards but the consistency is the problem with the ref’s in this league, why was there no penalty for when Kyel Reid was pushed over in the box?
Anyway the exit of loan players has started, lets go through each one.
It’s going to be an interesting couple of weeks, maybe Parks and Tommo have some players lined up? Or are they hoping that Wright, Nardiello, McPhee and Crainey will get back to fitness?

Well the first game of the new era under the stewardship of Tony Parks and Steve Thompson and we did pretty well grabbing a point at Wednesday. Alan Gow did well again and took the penalty well, the only problem was the amount of free kicks we gave away which eventually led to the equalizer.

The post match interviews from Parks and Thompson sound like they’ll keep the job if they do well in the Christmas period and it doesn’t look like the pair will be joining Simon Grayson at Leeds. Bring on Wolves on Monday!

It’s boxing day and that means football day. I’m sat in the pub in Sheffield at the moment with my pint of John Smiths ready for the first game after Grayson leaving.
I’ve no idea how we’ll play today and who will be playing but I’m looking forward to it.

Simon Grayson this afternoon has been named the new manager of Leeds United. First of all I think all the fans would like to thank Larry for his time at Blackpool. He proved to be a great manager in the end pulling us out of a League One relegation scrap, then promotion via the play-offs and then helping us survive a season in the Championship.
He leaves us 16th in the table with 29 points on the board.

Thanks Larry and good luck!…..so the fun begins… Vote on the right for the new Pool manager.

It’s all over the news and the internet this afternoon that Simon Grayson is to become the new manager of Leeds. Larry who started his career at Leeds and is a Leeds United fan has been linked with the job following the sacking of first time manager Gary McAllister.

I hoping he won’t go but importantly I don’t think that Leeds would take him considering he’s still a rookie in the game. Yes he has managed promotion from League One and on a budget but surely similar to Blackburn they won’t go for a rookie manager again? Will they?

The match wasn’t up to much yesturday but one thing everyone took notice of was the visable building work on the south stand with pilling started on the front and back of the stand.

I still thing it’s not going to be finished in time for the start of next season but at least progress is being made.

It’s been a while since a post on here mainly due to missing the last four games but I travelled over to Nottingham yesturday to see Paul Rachubka play Forest. It wasn’t the greatest Pool performance and Rachubka pretty much kept us in the game with half a dozen great saves.

We only had one shot on goal in the first five from Adam Hammill, it was the first time I’ve seen Liam Dickinson and Kyel Reid play. Both looked good but tired later on.
10 points from the relegation zone bring on Swansea next saturday!
