Brett Ormerod is back, I always thought that he would return to the club one day. He sat near me at the Blackpool V Preston game earlier this year and he wasn’t jumping up and down as the Preston goals went in that day. The news has been met with mixed response but I think it will be a good signing just for the boost it will give the players and hopefully the Bloomfield Road faithful.

Since leaving the club in December 2001 Brett went onto play for Southampton for five years, the highlight playing in the F.A. Cup final in 2003. During his spell at the saints he went on loan to Leeds and Wigan. He signed for Preston in 2006, loan spells followed with Nottingham Forest last year and Oldham this year.

He might be starting today against Crystal Palace. Lets hope for another goal like this!

We’ve hooked up again with Liverpool to bring a player on loan, this time it’s highly rated Hungarian Krisztian Nemeth. There’s plenty of hype about Nemeth after scoring a number of goal in the reserve team and 13 goals in 8 games for the Hungarian under 21′s.

He’s on loan for a month but hopefully it’s going to be extended if he does the business. Here’s the pick of the YouTube Videos.

A great win on Saturday over Birmingham recording the double over one of the favorites to gain promotion. It seems that DJ Campbell is settling in well with his second goal, but again the question raised is can we keep hold of him.

I missed the match this weekend, the re-arrangement wasn’t kind to me, I was in Birmingham for the weekend so it was enjoyable as the goals popped up on soccer Saturday in the pub in Birmingham.

I did however bump into some Blackpool players last Thursday in the cinema in Manchester. Ben Burgess (with crutches), Stephen McPhee and Daniel Nardiello all walked (hobbled) past. I think they were on the “injured strikers” night out to see Tom Cruise in Valkyrie! Let hope the nights out’s don’t continue for much longer as DJ Campbell can’t keep scoring ???

Well another loanee striker and another debut goal this time for DJ Campbell this weekend but another away performance where we’ve lost after taking the lead. I wasn’t at the game but the banter from the boards and the mailing list was that we should have been more than one up by the break and it was a made 10 minites wher the two goals came from.

It all makes for pressure rising with us in 17th place with 31 points on the board. Thats only 4 points more than Doncaster who ocupy the top drop spot.   We don’t want to be dragged into that but it’s hard to see where the next ….sorry the first win of the post Grayson era is going to come.

We’ll we needed some signings and we’ve done well bringing in DJ Campbell till the end of the season and Graeme Owens from Boro for a month with a view to staying till the end of the season. DJ Campbell comes in from Leciester after he’s fallen out of the first team frame at the Walkers.

I have to say it’s a good signing as the lad (DJ) has a lot of page and is willing to run his socks off! With the signing being till the end of the season it looks more and more like Tony Parks will be staying in charge. If we were getting a new manager you would have thought we’d let the new gaffer make the signings?

Torquay 1 – 0 Blackpool

It was a defeat on the cards with so many loan players going back to their parent clubs this week, no manager and Torquay flying in the conference. Fortunately for us it wasn’t the highlight of the day with City going out to Forest and Southend drawing with Chelsea. Some TV channels didn’t even highlight the result as a shock, they must think that we are a league two side!

There’s been no activity in the transfer window yet which isn’t surprising, I don’t think there will be any until the new manager is announce.

And regards to the new manager, it looks like it’s going to be Parks and Tommo.
