Job done today with a point against Forest, once again we battled hard and grabbed a point thanks to a neat finish from Brett Ormerod.

A good end to an awful season at home, hopefully next year we make Bloomers the fortress it needs to be.

Last home game of the season and a stupid early kick off. The forest fans are pouring into an overcast Bloomers early and it’s expected one or two away fans will be in the home end, there’s one in the top floor of the travellodge that looks over the south stand.
The forest fans certainly look nervous with the home fans slightly relaxed. Progress looks good on the south stand with concrete in the south-west corner foundations.
Let’s hope we don’t give a two goal lead away for the third time on the trot. A point will do but a win will be great way to end the season at home.
Oh and we are wearing the new kit today, you can see the new shorts and socks on the players !!!

As we know the South Stand is slowly being built. In celebration of the last game of the season I’ve created a time lapse video from a period in January and February using the images from the webcam.
I’ll carry on saving the images over the next few months and create on or two more videos. The video above shows the early pilling work and then pretty much nothing being done over the last 2 / 3 minutes.

Out of nothing a new home shirt has been released today. 500 shirts have going on sale after the game in the club shop, some are on sale at JD Sports and it looks like some will be sold online at some stage at JD sports.

It’s great to see the kit out before the start of the season, well done to Blackpool FC on the new shirt!
EDIT Looking for the new new Blackpool FC shirt for the Premier League.

Unfortunately Stephen McPhee hasn’t had the best season with Blackpool due to injury. Last week 9 minutes into a reserve match with Manchester City McPhee twisted his knee causing a break of the anterior cruciate ligament. The injury will keep him out for around 6 months, following on from a rip of this achilles in this season pre-season it will mean the striker has missed out on the best part of over a year of football.

This season McPhee featured in 5 matches as a substitute.
V Cardiff H – 21 mins
V Preston H – 16 mins
V Wolves – 15 mins
V Sheffield – 6 mins (came on then was subbed injured)
V Plymouth – 29 mins
Which is a total of 87 mins, just under one game. Now I’m not having a go at the lad he’s unlucky but he’s out most expensive player ever at £300,000 and he’s hardly played.
In total he’s started 16 game, £18,750 a game.
He’s scored 3 goal, £100,000 a goal.
Lets hope next season he’ll be able to put a shift in.

Ok, it’s been running for a while and I’ve not updated but the results from the last Poll to pick a new manager went with Tony Parks. It looks like Parks will get the job in the summer due to the good job he’s done and that his wages are cheap.

Thanks for all the votes. Now for the obligatory end of season player of the season vote. The poll is in the side bar but here’s the top 5.
Paul Rachubka
Shaun Barker
Alex Baptiste
Rob Edwards
Keith Southern
DJ Campbell
Get voting.

Another good result yesterday but again we did it the hard way come from two goals down for the second week in a row. DJ Campbell grabbed his 8th goal in 18 appearances which is a great return for the on loan man, surely we have to try and sign him up. Lee Hughes grabbed his first Pool goal too for the last ditch equalizer.

See the cheerleaders behind the goal!
It’s all set up for the Nottingham Forest game to mathematically secure safety but it would help if Ipswich could beat Norwich in the tractor derby this afternoon.

A good point today and a spirited come back. DJ Campbell grabbed the equalizer sprinting down the left flank crossing then tapping in when Reading failed to clear.
Result have been mixed with Norwich winning, Forrest drawing. At this stage 5 points clear should be enough it should all be settled with one game to spare.

Half time and it’s been poor. Pretty much a hangover performance from the win on Saturday. We were two down within 20 mins, Noel Hunt and Karacan tapping in right wing crosses.
We got back into the game with Sourthern tapping in a Adam’s cross. That seemed to wake the rest of the team and the crowd.
It’s important not to concede in the first 15 of the second half, a point would be a good result.

So it’s the game after the Preston match and the sun is shining down over Lancashire.
The pitch isn’t looking great and I’ve just watch the groundsman flood the middle of the North half of the pitch. The centre spot is currently under a little puddle.
It looks like there will be one change to the starting line up. Ben Burgess isn’t warming up so Lee Hughes starts with Stephen McPhee coming onto the bench.
A point will do today!
