It’s 24 hours since the full time whistle blew at Deepdale and I’ve just finished celebrating the win over Preston yesterday. The second half was tough with Preston throwing everything at us and it was a bit tense when they had a disallowed goal.

Over all it was a great day and a great step towards safety and securing the chance to beat Preston 1-0 again next year!

Half time and we are one nil up thanks to a goal from Charlie Adams. It was at the far end of the ground, it was a low shot that came of the inside of the post and nestled in the far corner

It been a game of a lot of chances, PNE hit the bar from a freekick and Chubs had to palm a Elliot shot wide.

At the other end we’ve hand two off the line and Lonergan pulled off a double save from Burgess.

Only problem is the sunburn….. Come on only 45 to go.

So I’m in the ground it’s boiling on the second row. The lads have just warmed up infront of me and there are a couple of changes from last week

Burgess replaces Hughes and Donavan replaces Brett Ormerof who’s on the bench with new signing Walton.

Good turn out my pool all in tangerine!

Derby day for me started at 8 this morning travelling from Manchester to Poulton. I’m back in the car now just about to get on the M55.

The sun is shining down in the west of Lancashire today and hopefully on the sea of tangerine that’s going to invade Deepdale!!

I’ll be blogging from the ground in an hours time!!

The build up to this weekends Preston V Blackpool Lancashire derby has been a little quiet. That may been due to me being too busy to be on the message boards this week or maybe due to the added importance of the match. Both teams really need the points. Preston to have some hope of getting into the play offs and we need the points to stay up.

It looks like Keith Southern will be able to play, I’m guessing with him and Charlie Adams they’ll kick the shit of the Preston midfield. Brett Ormerod and Lee Hughes are going to score and it’s all going to go great…. I hope.

Either way it’s going to be a great day with just under 5,000 Pool fans travelling down the M55.

Pool to be deducted 6 points for breaking loan rules

The football league are apparently looking into a claim that Blackpool have broken loan rules on two occasions this season which pool went on to win.

As we know we’ve really maxed out the loan system this season, I think we’ve had 18 loan players this season with 5 scoring on their debuts.

Apparently we had 6 loan players in the match 16 on two occasions. This is excluding Charlie Adams and Alan Gow who are classes as international loans. My source is an friend I lived with at uni who now works at the football league.

Expect more to come …

EDIT : Check the date, April the 1st!
