Wow, another amazing performance and win number 5 of the year on the road. With 17 played we’re on 25 points. For anybody at the game today or able to see the stats you’ll see we rode our luck a little, a few great saves from Richard Kingston and a few misses from Gyan & Bent.
The enforced change to bring on Matty Phillips ended up being a great move with him winning the corner and putting in the cross for the second. He also had an amazing run in the first half wich nearly resulted in a goal for DJ.
And how well did DJ play, grabbing two goals but also creating our two other efforts on goal. He’s really coming into form now with three goals in two games. I do love the bite the badge celebration, it’s the new way to kiss the badge!

As for a man of the match today there was too many to choose from, Kingston, Evatt, Cathcart, Crainey, Vaughan, Sylvestre and Campbell all having storming games.
We now have three full days till the City game, then too many games in too few days. Here’s looking forward to it!

It’s over a month since I’ve seen the mighty in action. I missed the Stoke game and three postponements later it’s been a frustrating time. Thanks to Sunderland having a good set up the match will go ahead today. With Sunderland playing on Boxing day against Man U we should have a slight advantage.
It would be great to get three points on the board today but with Bent, Gyan and Welbeck playing it’s going to be tough stopping then scoring. And without Charlie Adam.
I’m on boozer number two looking forward to a jacket potato and chille con carne!!

Merry Christmas to all, it’s been a great year. Let’s hope we’re able to play tomorrow and pick up a few more points before the years end.
It seems I was good this year and santa brought me a custom made Blackpool FC apron, featuring a nice wonga logo.

Seems like we did need under soil heating. At least it’s been called off today rather than tomorrow when many would be travelling down.

Very disappointing and I’m missing the Stoke game next week to!!!!

I was born in 1985, so around the age of 1o to 11 I started to get interested in football. In 1995, there was only one team to support, Manchester United. The team rolled of your tounge, Schmeichel, Parker, Irwin, Bruce, Pallister, Sharp, Ince, Giggs, Robsen, Hughes, Mclair, Cantona etc. Luckily for me I was saved as soon taken down to Bloomfield Road.

It’s amazing to now to think we’ll be playing them tomorrow in the league, that is if the game is on with the pitch currently frozen in parts with another cold night expected.
Hopefully tomorrow’s game will go ahead, in preperation for the game i’ve been on the Red Cafe podcast, you can listen to it over at http://www.redcafe.net/podcast/2010/12/redcafe-net-podcast-%E2%80%93-episode-58/ and there’s a great article on the Republik of Mancunia about Blackpool and Stanley Mathews http://therepublikofmancunia.com/blackpool-stanley-matthews-and-uniteds-dwarf-of-football-magic/. It’s well worth a read!
Up the Pool and up the temperatures overnight!
