A win at last

Posted on November 11, 2007

After ten games without a win in the league calm has been restored at Bloomfeild Road with a one nil win over Scunthorpe United. The score could have been more than 1-0 with Kiegan Parker missing a hat full of chances. Claus Jorgensen thought he put the home side in the league when he bundled the ball over the line, but the linesman disallowed the goal for a handball, a correct decision from my viewpoint. The winner came in the second half, a corner not cleared and defender Kaspars Gorkss with a powerful header at the North Kop end.

Tony McMahon made his debut, not related to Steve or Steve Jnr, a right back on loan from Middlesborough who failed to impress unfortunately being caught in possession a lot. We’re still not performing at 100% but at least we’ve picked up a win, the need for a striker is still there, from about 8 chances yesterday the return of one goal wasn’t great.

Now second look alike yesterday’s stand in captain Shaun Barker and actor form Heros Milo Ventimiglia.
