Last month saw the passing of one of the many legends to come out of Bloomfield Road Bill Perry. The South African born left winger is know for his winner in the 1953 cup final where Pool beat Bolton 4-3, coming back from being 1-3 down. Stanly Matthews crossed in injury time and Perry connected to seal victory for the Seasiders. The match is also remember for the only hatrick in a cup final from Stan Mortensen 50 years on from the the Final BBC Radio Lancashire documented the final with a memories from some of the greats Armfeild, Perry and commentary form the game.
