Charlie Adam

After a period on loan in the later half of the 2008/09 season Adam joined Blackpool on a permanent deal from Rangers a week before the start if the 2009/10 season. The Scottish international signed for £500,000 a Pool club record on a two year deal.

A left footed free kick specialist Adam was able to get back into the Scotland squad with regular football. In total Charlie scored 19 goals from midfield, the 19th came in the play-off final against Cardiff with a stunning free kick.

Charlie Adam  won numerous awards in the season including the players player of the season, the official player of the season and earned himself a place in the Championship team of the season.
