Stephen Crainey

Stephen Crainey has been a revelation at Blackpool, signing on a free from Leeds United he cemented his place at left back and only niggling injuries kept his league starts down to to 37. His previous experience at Championship level with Leeds and Southampton shone through with solid defensives performances, the pick being against Preston back in December. He scored his first goal for Blackpool on Boxing Day again Sheffield Untied with a deflected free kick to level the game 1-1, eventually ending 2-2. Stephen picked up five awards at the clubs end of season presentation night.
