A good result last night in front of the Sky cameras to draw with top of the league Wolves on a bitterly cold evening. The new flag looked great on the north stand as the players came out, all the names of the contributers to the flag appeared in the match programme, well done to all!

I’ve watch the highlight of the match and can see why the penalty was given against Rob Edwards but the consistency is the problem with the ref’s in this league, why was there no penalty for when Kyel Reid was pushed over in the box?
Anyway the exit of loan players has started, lets go through each one.
It’s going to be an interesting couple of weeks, maybe Parks and Tommo have some players lined up? Or are they hoping that Wright, Nardiello, McPhee and Crainey will get back to fitness?

Well the first game of the new era under the stewardship of Tony Parks and Steve Thompson and we did pretty well grabbing a point at Wednesday. Alan Gow did well again and took the penalty well, the only problem was the amount of free kicks we gave away which eventually led to the equalizer.

The post match interviews from Parks and Thompson sound like they’ll keep the job if they do well in the Christmas period and it doesn’t look like the pair will be joining Simon Grayson at Leeds. Bring on Wolves on Monday!

Well, what a game that was and what a game to pick for an away day. I don’t get to many away games in London but I managed to arrange a meeting on Friday in London and then stayed the night. Watford is a bit of dump (yes I know Blackpool is too), the ground is strange too as you enter the away stand and your at the top of the stand, it’s build on a hill.

The game was great, both sides defended poorly which lead to the seven goals. I’m sure the back four were not happy with conceding three but it’s a good job we have a selection of players that can grab a goal a game.
Ben’s cracking lob / shot was the pick of the goals but when Gow slotted in the winner the roof came off the away stand. It was a great day to be a Pool fan!
The rest of the month looks good too, Ipswich at home, the big one agaist the nobbers, Wolves a great away trip, Sheffeild Wednesday away and we finish up on the south coast at Plymouth!
EDIT : Poor old Aidy Boothroyd was sacked today!

Ian Evatt’s first league goal for Pool saved the day today to grab a point at a horrible Bloomfield Road against Palace. It was a pretty poor first half, Southern and Taylor-Fletcher should have scored with easy chances. Ben Burgess scored again, he was pretty rubbish for the rest of the match but if he puts the ball in the back of the net every week keep him in the team. I was impressed by Gow too, it was the first time I’ve seen him start a game.
It’s Cardiff on Tuesday which should be pretty hard and then off to Watford on the Saturday, I got my ticket today!

Well that was harder than it needed to be but overall a great three points over Derby. Many of the fans from Saturday were looking for Gow to start and he impressed tonight and must keep his place in the side as well as scoring one he had a hand in the other two goals. It was good to see Burgess get the third of the game but it’s looking like a front pair of Gow and Kabba is our best front two.
Roll on Saturday and Palace!

It’s half time at the Blackpool V Derby match and Pool take a 2-0 lead into the half time break thanks to Alan Gow and another great goal from Gary Taylor-Fletcher.
Two changes to the starting line up tonight, Coid in for Mo Camera (guessing that he’s not allowed to play for his parent club Derby or that he’s been dropped as he was shocking on Saturday) and Gow in for Kabba who is injured.
Gow’s goal looked a tad offside but who cares! And Preston are losing lets see how the second half turns out!

We were a little lucky this afternoon to grab a point against Cardiff, we were awful for the most of the match and it wasn’t for Cardiff being poor upfront we should have been 2, 3 down by the time Alan Gow struck the equalizer in extra time.
The goal from Gow was a great strike from the edge of the box into the bottom corner, it was surprising to see Cardiff stand off Gow as he brought the ball down on the edge of the box.
It could have been a different match if Ben Burgess’s goal in the first half stood, from my angle there was no offside, in recent weeks there’s been some shocking referee decisions, pity as towards the end of last season and the start of this one the bastards in the black have been pretty good.
It was good to see Stephen McPhee back in on the pitch but Adam Hammill still flattered to deceive after he started ahead of the injured Jorgensen. With the international break coming up it’s going to be a while til next match but at least we have England to look froward to! Were really good now!

Alan Gow has now signing for Blackpool. It appears that the deal was off this morning but loan deal has now been arranged. This morning the deal was for a £250,000 signing with a 3 year contract. This evening it’s been confirmed by the Rangers chairman, David Murray, that Gow would be signing on a long term deal.

He play either upfront, in midfield or on the wing, which seems pretty similar to GTF. Starting his career at Clydeank, he moved onto Airdrie United then Falkirk. His move to Rangers didn’t go to plan as never started a game with plenty of players ahead of him in the pecking order. Lets he gets some first team action at Pool!
