Wow, what a game today and a great result. It was a really great game to watch with plenty of chances for both side and some great passages of play. A big shout out has to go out to David Vaughan who was outstanding today, not only holding onto the ball but defending too, his pressure on McKenna in the second half was awesome.

Our first goal was well crafted with a great run from Coleman, rather than shooting he found Evatt and with a bit of a scurfy deflected shot from Southern we were back on level terms. Cohen’s goal was a bit of a wonder goal, amazing that two in two games after the goal from Maynard.

The second half we were well on top and deserved the equaliser, we should have gone on to grab another one, hopefully something we won’t go onto regret. I can’t wait for the second leg now!

Wow what a second half of football and a big result. Scunny came out after half time the better side and grabbed the equaliser from the spot, yet another pen we have given away.

After that it didn’t look like we were going to get a winner. After Fletcher missed a sitter I thought we would end up with a point but the subs made the difference.

David Vaughan played a blinder getting his foot of the ball getting it out wide to Bouazza who crossed for for the third.

Colemans goal was s great piece of individual skill. He dribbled past three from the touchline then lifted the ball over the keeper into goal.

DJ took his goal well, both breakaway goals. Scunny second made the last 10 interesting.

Great away day, with a flare too! Let hope WBA can do the business now against Leciester.

Ollie’s first game in charge ended in a 4-0 win today over Burscough thanks to two goal from Gary Taylor-Fletcher, Brett Ormerod and the last from Nardiello (looked like an o.g. to me). The 1st half team played really well with Baptiste solid at the back, Vaughan played in the middle with Southern, Clarke played wide left with GTF on the right.

Young Danny Mitchley played in the hole behind Ben Burgess but all were interchaning from left to right. The home side weren’t up to much until the second half when Richard Langley and co in the middle of the park didn’t hold any structure. It was interesting to see the front three that Ollie wants to use. I’m not sure at the moment we have the correct player to play in the ‘hole’ a certain Charlie Adams might fit in very well.

Over all it was a good day out in the sun, thanks to all that followed on the blackpool fc blog twitter account, for any matches I’m going to I’ll be providing updates and the odd picture.

Another poll comes to an end, the vote was for the pick of the new lads and Rob Edwards deservedly came on top with 28% of the votes. The former Wolves centre back has impressed all since his summer move and has been handed the captain’s armband too.

In second place Steve Kabba the loan man from Watford with 24% of the votes. After a slow start due to injury Kabba has hit two goals and was instrumental in the Birmingham win.

In third place David Vaughan who also had a slow start to the season. With 13% of the votes Vaughan beats Adam Hammill to third with one vote extra.

The next vote looks at the winner of this poll, Rob Edwards. Theres been plenty of discussion about this subject both online and at the ground…

Is Rob Edwards better than Kaspars Gorkss?

The voting form in on the side bar so get voting!
