Poll Results – Pick of the new lads

Another poll comes to an end, the vote was for the pick of the new lads and Rob Edwards deservedly came on top with 28% of the votes. The former Wolves centre back has impressed all since his summer move and has been handed the captain’s armband too.

In second place Steve Kabba the loan man from Watford with 24% of the votes. After a slow start due to injury Kabba has hit two goals and was instrumental in the Birmingham win.

In third place David Vaughan who also had a slow start to the season. With 13% of the votes Vaughan beats Adam Hammill to third with one vote extra.

Poll results – Gorkss and Wes to Go?

Well better late than never the results of a poll that ran over the summer asking if Wes Hoolahan and Kaspars Gorkss would be leaving Blackpool FC. Well they did and you predicted it with 77% of votes saying the pair would leave. An optimistic 12% thought the pair would stay at the club, I’m guessing those voters didn’t know about the release clauses in the players contracts.

Our new poll asks for the pick of the new lads, 12 to choose from.

QPR to bid for Hoolahan

After yesterday’s post that QPR have made a bid for Kaspars Gorkss there are rumors that  QPR will make a bid for Wes Hoolahan for, wait for it……£375K. There was an article on EDP 24 a Norfork based website that QPR will make a bid for Wes but there may be a issues with the whole transfer of Hoolahan from from Livingston with Fifa yet to decide if we still need to pay a fee to Livingston of around £75K. So the £375K would be more than the release clause of £250K in Wes’s contract and the extra money would then possibly go to Livi.

What is evident that by next week we could lose our best two players to QPR for just over half a million quid. As we know from Brett Ormerod we won’t see any of this money, sorry to be D+G but it’s not looking good, but it’s not a signed deal…..until we see the pair in the blue and white of QPR they are still Blackpool players.

Kaspars Gorkss to QPR?

It looks like Kaspars Gorkss is going to be leaving for QPR after they officially placed a bid for the big Latvian. Apparently Gorkss has a £250k release clause in his contract. Considering QPR are bankrolled by a billionaire the fee isn’t going to be a problem, so if the clause is half a million etc they’ll pay. The only sticking point is will he want to move?

Gorkss may want to be loyal to Blackpool, we gave him his first chance in football in England and most importantly it’s pretty much down to Mr Belokon that he came. Would Gorkss want to annoy Belokon? It’s like a Russian player sticking the fingers to Abramovich.

Lets hope the big man stays!

Kaspars Gorkss to Preston?

The Mirror have run with a report that Preston are going to bid £250,000 in the summer for our Latvian Kaspars Gorkss. It’s said that Gorkss has a price claus and that a bid of quarter of a million would open talks with the defender. Other interested parties include Crystal Palace.
