Blackpool 2 – 2 Wolves and the ins and outs start

A good result last night in front of the Sky cameras to draw with top of the league Wolves on a bitterly cold evening. The new flag looked great on the north stand as the players came out, all the names of the contributers to the flag appeared in the match programme, well done to all!

blackpool 2 - 2 wolves rob edwards celebrates his goal

I’ve watch the highlight of the match and can see why the penalty was given against Rob Edwards but the consistency is the problem with the ref’s in this league, why was there no penalty for when Kyel Reid was pushed over in the box?

Anyway the exit of loan players has started, lets go through each one.

  • Liam Dickinson – Gone back to Derby and looks like he won’t be coming back considering the statement on the club site and that Paul Jewell has left Derby.
  • Zesh Rehman – Gone back to QPR won’t be coming back looks like he’ll be leaving QPR anyway.
  • Lee Hendrie – Back to Sheffield United, would be good to see him back at the club.
  • Graham Stack - Gone back as Gilks has come back from Shrewsbury.
  • Adam Hammill – Gone back to Liverpool for ‘assessment’ might stay if Stevie G gets send down! Would be good to see him back for the rest of the season.
  • Steve Kabba – Back to Watford, don’t really want to see him back.
  • Alan Gow – Loan is up and we have had a £200,000 offer accepted just have to see if Leeds put in a bid and what Gow’s decision is.

It’s going to be an interesting couple of weeks, maybe Parks and Tommo have some players lined up? Or are they hoping that Wright, Nardiello, McPhee and Crainey will get back to fitness?

Poll Results – Pick of the new lads

Another poll comes to an end, the vote was for the pick of the new lads and Rob Edwards deservedly came on top with 28% of the votes. The former Wolves centre back has impressed all since his summer move and has been handed the captain’s armband too.

In second place Steve Kabba the loan man from Watford with 24% of the votes. After a slow start due to injury Kabba has hit two goals and was instrumental in the Birmingham win.

In third place David Vaughan who also had a slow start to the season. With 13% of the votes Vaughan beats Adam Hammill to third with one vote extra.

The next vote looks at the winner of this poll, Rob Edwards. Theres been plenty of discussion about this subject both online and at the ground…

Is Rob Edwards better than Kaspars Gorkss?

Will Steve Kabba be called back to Watford?

Another great win this weekend over Barnsley and all thanks to a great goal from Steve Kabba. A sweet strike from outside of the box proved to be the difference between the two sides, it looked like we weren’t going to get the win after two shots were cleared off the line.

It’s all good for Steve Kabba who’s scored two goals since his loan move from Watford, but does this mean that Aidy Boothroyd will be looking at bringing Kabba back? Non of the Watford strikers have scored in the league yet and with Kabba hitting form does it mean an early return for the frontman?  I hope not.

If he does keep on scoring we’ll have to have a chant for him, how about Culture Club – Karma Chameleon.

Kabba, Kabba, Kabba, Kabba, Kabba, Kabba, Kabbaaaaaaaa He scores great goals, he score great goaalllllsssss ??????

Have a sing-a-long.

Steve Kabba and Jermaine Wright sign

Bish bosh bang another two signings, as expected Jermaine Wright on a free after leaving Southampton and one that no one predicted Steve Kabba from Watford on loan.

Apparently Kabba’s had a torrid time at Watford, only one goal in two years has made him surplus to requirements. Searching for a picture of Steve to stick on here I’ve found a blog laying into him, apparently he’s a an unlucky player, that translates to a donkey. If anyones going to get something out of a donkey it’s Simon Grayson, all I’m saying, Ben Burgess 10 goals last season!
