Leicester City 1 – 0 Blackpool

A busy couple of days with a couple of new signings, more on them in another blog, and a match which ended in a disappointing defeat. Leicester City bagged all the points with a very very dodgy penalty won by ex-cod head James Vardy.

Referee Michael Jones couldn’t wait to point to the spot after Leicester had a run of appeals, it was third time lucky for the home fans when Vardy turned into the box and Gomes nicked the ball away from him. Vardy went down, before he hit the floor Jones had pointed to the spot to the disbelief of the surrounding pool players.

But looking beyond the penalty incident we didn’t perform over the 90 like we have in the opening three games.

There are selection questions with Ferguson starting over Angel and still no sign of Ian Evatt. However, we can’t complain too much, one defeat from four, still top of the league it’s just we have to wait while to put thing right with the international break before the trip to Barnsley.

Last night just reminded me of all the bad devensive errors we made in the premiership. Namely the game we played against Wigan, who were bottom and like last night wanted to win the game more than us. They beat us 3-0 and ultimately contributed to our relegation. Awful to watch, just hope it was only a blip.
