Sheffield United 2 – 2 Blackpool FT

Posted on March 11, 2009

A full time score of 2-2 was slightly disappointing after holding the lead in the second half. DJ Campbell did well to take his chance to grab our second goal but should have converted a one on one with Paddy Kenny to put us 3-1 up.

I’ve not seen the highlights from the match yet but Sheffield’s penalty to equalize looked a bit suspect when their attacker was flung about five foot into the air. I think he may have done a little dive. Charlie Adams was again great from the middle of the park, he almost scored with a free kick and ran the show at times from the middle.

The only disappointment were from Coid who made two mistakes which cost the two goals (he missed a clearance for the second, the united player latched onto the loose ball and then gained the pen) and Gary Taylor-Fletcher who just looked knackered.

On a different matter the journey home was extended with a a flat tyre, let hope that doesn’t happen again this Saturday at Barnsley!

What are your thoughts coming in to this Saturday’s game. Are you expecting a similar match to the one Vs the Blunts?

Did Morgan’s elbow play on Tuesady night?

Should be a good game, our lot are playing well but a bit worried about Hammill, Mifsud and Campbell-Ryce with the pace they have!
