Ince has stated we have targets set for the transfer market. Similar to previous transfer windows Ollie mentioned a list was created, given to Karl Oyston and Matt Williams who the would try to acquire as many player from the list as possible.
The targets are set per position so guessing there will be no new keeper in the list or wingers with Phillips and Tom Ince looking to stay on. It’s also depends on Crainey, GTF, Ludo and Broadfoot who are yet to accept a new contract and could leave.
It’s all very much up in the air. We won’t look to bring in replacements for the quartet until they make a decision, has a deadline been set for the four? If not, and they leave it late to decide on their future it would leave gaping holes in the squad close to the start of the season.
To move our attentions away from the lack of players some kit news. The new kits (which are pretty good considering some of the crap in the past) are due in the shop by the end of the month. Training kits will be on sale on the 17th with a limited selection of old Fila kids shirts reduced to a £10.
Elsewhere in the league, Rovers handed Grant Hanley a five-year deal. Crazy, not many people are able to secure a five-year contract. Brighton have yet to decided on Gus Poyet’s future, hopefully that will continue for a while.
And on a nice note, Palace have offered Kevin Phillips a one-year-deal which could be a fitting end to a great career.
