Matthew Gilks

Matthew Gilks is currently warming the bench as back up to Paul Rachubka. Gilks started his footballing career at his home town club Rochdale. From 2000 to 2007 Gilks made 176 appearances. Gilks then signed for Championship Norwich, he was unable to get any first team action and after a season at Carrow Road moved to Blackpool. Opportunities have been few and far between with only 4 appearances.

Last season Gilks spent some time on loan at Shrewsbury Town making 4 appearances.
